Best place for a quick bite from muffins to croissant to sandwiches. Love their almond croissant and everything comes for $2. The service at its best, always smiling. Gets pretty busy early morning hours.
Great atmosphere. A decent amount of seating available with comfy chairs - however, the tables are small. If you're coming to work on your laptop, atmosphere is great for that and there's plenty of seating in the back, however space is limited as the tables are tiny but, you'll be able to fit your coffee!
They offer a lot of yummy pastries and from personal experience, the Almondy cake and the capuccino with almond milk (no extra charge) was fantastic! Would definitely come back for that.
As for the staff, the girl at the front was a delight! She was really attentive and greeted everyone who came in. As for the other staff, an older guy, made a remark to a group of people who were checking out the screens at front.
Otherwise, a pleasant experience! Will definitely come back as often as I can for the cappuccino. Came to do some work does get a little loud as it can crowded with customers walking in. Gets a lot of clients around 3 and 4 but there's rarely a line.
They also offer alternative milks, and spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon by the counter.
Everything in the store is $2! Amazing for a cafe anywhere in NY, much more amazing for a cafe in the heart of NYC!
The pastries are generously sized. I purchased the apple crumb, raisin and nut bar, strawberry rhubarb, apple and almond bar, baklava, potato-stuffed puff pastry and almond croissant. They were all delicious. They also have pre-made sandwiches. I got the omelette croissant sandwich. Their raspberry iced tea was very refreshing.
Staff is very friendly and accomodating.
