Excellent!. We loved the food at Luscious Thai. as soon as we walked in the door the smell told the whole story. great service as well. i will say though that the "thai hot" lemon grass soup was not hot at all. of course...i'm from south Louisiana and have a higher tolerance. although..."thai hot" at the Thai restaurants in our region is blazing hot. 2 glasses of water easily.
Let me tell you this place is amazing. Had mix for two, wonderful pastries. Tom kha coconut soup perfectly spiced. The pad Thai with jumbo shrimp great but the jumbo shrimp could use a dipping sauce. Licorice tea lovely and the Thai custard desesert is like a creamy two layered Mochi, sweet gluten on the bottom and a kind of flan on top hot in a tiny ramikin; heavenly signature dessert with a sublime hint of sweetness. Balanced. Best Thai food I have ever had.
Really fantastic Thai. I saw a review that said it is the best Thai food in Manhattan, it is so fresh and flavorfull. Truly the best Tom Kha soup I have had. The Beef Nuer Yarng, sliced grilled marinated steak with a fresh ,acidic ,spicy, sweet dipping sauce and Jasmine rice is phenomenal! Highly recommended.
