I had a great time getting wine and a few small plates on a date night here. The food was spectacular, especially the ribs, stratticcella toasts, mushroom suppli, and bagna cauda (best dipping sauce ever). If I lived in NY I’d make this my go to for low key date nights.
I’ll also mention that I’m a little confused by a previous negative review. The staff were unusually welcoming and knowledgable during our visit. Also there’s a no tipping policy, so I’m not sure upselling is a potential problem. Without tips staff wouldn’t be incentivized to push more expensive wines.
Delicious fried and non fried small plates to share-
Loved the fried cod and potato pancakes with horseradish. Stracitella foccacia bites topped with delicious tomato with drizzled olive oil was yummy.
Wine selection very nice- excellent service.
(On past visits, really enjoyed fried artichokes)
Casual high top tables - no formal dining.
Greg makes an amazing vodka martini, we so enjoyed our time there. Sure to be back!!!
