What can I say? Excellent. Being a foodie and working at some of the best restaurants and specialty food stores in the city, this restaurant impresses. Everything is super fresh, cool decor, not expensive, a very interesting menu and a chef right from Italy that is so proud of her food that she comes to your table to chat in a restrained way. Not your typical Italian American menu that everyone seems to do i.e. Penne vodka, spaghetti and clams etc.
While you judge a restaurant by its appetizers and entrees obviously, I am always disappointed by how restaurants seem to put no importance in things like the bread and the coffee/dessert. The bread at this restaurant was excellent (they must make it themselves) and the espresso which seems to always be made incorrectly at most restaurants, here it was excellent. Short, lots of crema and they give you a little biscotti. To me it's the little things that are important and this place does it all.

The pizza is to die for. Probably the best pizza in New York! Their eggplant parmigiana is also INCREDIBLE!! Definitely a must! Thank you Chef Rosanna for a delicious meal!
Had a great experience! Food was fresh and delicious ! From the fresh ricotta served with honey and walnuts to the mozzarella, cheeses, and prosciutto, to the pizza, the osso buco special and to end with amazing desserts, homemade tiramisu, gelato and fresh fruit !
