Recently I was invited to judge the Internal Iron Chef Loews Hotel Competition, a friendly competition amongst teams from each of Loews on-site hotels – Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Cabana Bay Beach Resort. Spearheading the competition was Hard Rock Hotel’s Executive Sous Chef Anton Vintes. Interestingly enough the unanimous winner was the team of Hard Rock Hotel. Needless to say I had to pay them a visit at their home base The Kitchen to experience their deliciousness.
Went to the breakfast buffet this morning at The Kitchen, I can honestly say this was the best breakfast buffet I have ever seen and that includes the Waldorf in Boca Raton. Everything was so incredibly fresh, delicious, made right there and presented beautifully. it was laid out so spacious that you never felt rushed or felt like somebody was breathing down your back & you didn't feel pushed like usually happens at a buffet. At The Kitchen you are made to feel like a rockstar from the moment you walk through the door until you leave. Our server Craig was incredible, plates didn't stack up on the table, they were removed right away, he was very attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. "The Kitchen" will be a regular stop for us from now on when visiting the Orlando, Florida area.
Excelent. I recently ate at the Kitchen, at the Loews Hard Rock Hotel at the Universal Studios Resort, and I was pleasantly surprised by a dinning experience I did not expect. Understand that had this restaurant been anywhere else I may have given a Very Good, but for being where it was, it was Excellent. The menu was very diverse, sort of a Neuvo Comfort Menu, and the pricing was from $9.00 entrees to $40 entrees, options for all. The service was also excellent, but to be fair, we ate during a off hour and the place was quiet. Although as we were leaving it was getting busy. Have fun with the menu, they encourage question and modifications and the chef came by twice. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy there dinners and even with having been located next to the hotel pool, the place was even great for a date night. I recommend you sit at the bar, where you can watch the kitchen and see although signed memorabilia around you. If you are going to eat dinner after 7pm, make reservations.. and the wine list was very creative, if you know California Boutique Wines, give it a try!
