Tried out Villa di Roma with friends on a bustling Thursday evening. Overall I had a great time, with tasty food and good service. The dishes we ordered were solid Italian fare, although nothing I tried was particularly noteworthy. It was also a little confusing to know where to go to get seated when walking in. Would come back if friends wanted to visit again.
Wow, some of the best red sauce (gravy? - I’m not Italian) I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even wait to get a full picture before digging in. The ambiance is classic Italian, the waiters are amazing. Clam pasta isnt the typical lemony garlic im used to, but nonetheless yummy. Meatballs are some of the best I’ve ever had, don’t tell my grandma. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Philly!
Villa di Roma is a South Philly staple of great Italian food. The food is always fresh and tastes great. Highly recommend this place for great food.
