Chinese like I know it. I grew up walking by this place every day. It was there before I was born, that's when you know it must be doing something right to be there for that long!
This is probably my introduction to Americanized Chinese food and what I've grown to believe is "real" Chinese food, but I later discovered I'm so far off base, but heck it's still good!
My parents only knew to order chicken wings and fried rice. They were very keen on ordering the half chicken with pork fried rice. I had that until I knew how to order on my own and my discovery of their General Tso's chicken is the best! Fried crispy and then given a nice sweet glaze with some spice. Order the dinner combo and it comes with fried rice or replace it with lo mein for a small fee and it also comes with a spring roll, ask for some extra duck sauce because it's sooo good with the duck sauce. I love their spring rolls.
Love this place and whenever I'm in Providence and want a quick Chinese fix, I'll stop by for take out.
They have a sit in/dining area but it's barely ever used.
I believe this is one of the finest restaurant. I've been going their since 1985. I stopped going about 2003 or so because quality took a nosedive. I decided to try again this year. Come to find out the cook I've know for about 35 years had either quit or whatever reason, he left. But now he's back and the quality shot way back up to it's previous 100% consistency and quality! Unbelievable!!!!!!
