There are two different worlds at the Four Seas.
I remember how hesitant I was the first time I walked into this place.
The decor was plain, it was a huge space, and the one waitress I saw had a look on her face of "what do you want". However, I bypassed that whole atmosphere and headed through the leather door to the Dynasty Room.
Walking through that leather portal you are transported back to a time that is hard to define but one that is comforting and relaxing. The best comparison I could give is it's like walking into a Cheers like situation but with delicious food.
The bartender in the Dynasty room is amazing! She is always super helpful, friendly, and knows how to pour a drink! Def. one of the reasons we keep coming back!
Lastly, they have my favorite type of karaoke, nothing past the mid-90s. Not that it's preselected, but rather, the computer is prob from the late 90s and just hasn't been updated... which to me is amazing.
Love the Dynasty Room!
Quite a large seating area gave the favorable impression that they were probably not a bad place at which to dine. We happened to be one of only two couples in the restaurant at the time. We had excellent customer service. We ordered some custom dishes, but to our surprise the waitress adamantly refused to make one of them, explaining that what we were asking for simply would not work due to the textures and flavors combining in the wrong way. We finally, and reluctantly, conceded. The waitress seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about the way the flavors of the meals interacted. What we discovered when our food came was an exciting and really unique Chinese taste that was quite simply unequaled in our experience. The hot and sour soup was perfectly zesty, the curried noodles with tomato (custom made) was very curried and very good, and we particularly savored the eggplant with garlic sauce. The tea was a mixture of Oolong and Jasmine. Portions were unusually large for the price. We also discovered that had we actually gotten that custom mixture we had ordered we would have been disappointed. The waitress had been right all along, and we repented of our initial frustration. We plan to return on our next trip to Seattle.
We were just here the other day on a whim thinking of dim sum as usual yet again we missed the dim sum hour, but was seated quickly by the owner? & mother in law which was a nice surprise to be the only two in there, despite the fact dim sum was over he was very polite to to let us order a few dishes anyways to appease or stomachs. Food came fast mb next time we make it to dim sum hour. Service was friendly.
