While staying at the Conrad Hotel, we had our morning breakfasts at Estuary which is a Michelin star restaurant located at the 3rd floor.
Estuary provided a delightful breakfast experience in a setting that exuded elegance and tranquility. The morning ambiance awakened a sense of refreshment, setting a positive tone for the day. It is very spacious and open setting.
The attentive service, marked by tender care, included staff explaining the breakfast offerings and accommodating individual preferences. The seamless match with personal requirements resulted in a thoroughly enjoyable breakfast.
Black tea served with french press, it tasted much better than tea bags.
I tried their omelette with spinach, onions and white cheddar. It was a delight! Fluffy and perfectly cooked, the blend of ingredients created a harmonious burst of flavors. The chef's expertise was evident, making it a delightful culinary experience. It comes with toasted white bread, butter and strawberry jelly. Also i chose fruit bowl, everything was very fresh.
With such a positive experience, Conrad proved to be not just a great hotel but also had an great restaurant, leaving a desire to return soon for another delightful visit.
Located inside a hotel and only serving breakfast at noon on a Saturday was surprising to us. The wait was abysmal. It took 20 minutes for us to be seated, as the hostess took a food order over the phone, then disappeared for several minutes to hand it off. She also came across unwelcoming when we announced we weren't guests at the hotel.
The restaurant was practically empty, but we were seated next to two filled tables. They forgot my coffee and I had to re-request it and it took 45 minutes for them to prepare our food. A full 45 minutes for an omelette and a breakfast sandwich.
Once the food arrived though . . .
I had the Blue Willow Omelette: spinach, carmelized onion, feta. It was the most beautiful omelette I've ever seen, been served or eaten. It was sumptuous and bursting with deep flavors, and served with a gloriously crispy and flaky croissant. My husband ordered the Croissant Sandwich. It, too, was beautiful and surpassed all expectations. We left fully satisfied.
While restaurants in hotels can be hit or miss, Estuary is certainly worth a visit. First things first, the space is beautiful. The clever use of space makes the dining room feel larger than humanly possible. Despite the size and layout, the dining room feels cohesive.
Though none for their seafood options, I tried the hand made meatballs and the chicken. Though smaller dishes both were filling.
While the food was good, I had the best mocktail I have had in sometime with their Amerti Sour.
All in all, estuary is a great option for special occasions, after work drinks or the social client meal.
