The spicy pho was indeed delicious, but man - food (and even water) took simply foreverrrr. Maybe they had a big rush, as they were out of vermicelli (?), but the place was half-empty and we couldn’t get our drinks. Yet, the food was good, and reasonably priced, so give it a while if you’re looking for good pho and have the time to wait for it!
The pho here is delicious! I went early on a Wednesday night and there were only a few others in the restaurant. Service was quick, the interior is nice, and the pho was better than expected.
Seeing as I eat a lot of pho I thought it would be helpful to isolate the components. For context, I ordered the chicken pho.
Broth: more flavorful (maybe slightly strong on onion, which I thoroughly enjoyed) than most other broths I've had
Noodles: I'm normally all about the noodles, but these were pretty average in my opinion. There weren't as many as other bowls I've had and they had clumped
Chicken: hands down the best chicken I've had in pho. They were very thin slices of delicious chicken and there was a lot of it!
All in all, great meal and I would definitely return when in DC
I loved the food, it was my first time trying Pho. It was light and delicious. The summer rolls were really fresh and the avocado smoothie was great!
