We were walking by on Easter Sunday after church and they were roasting a delicious lamb on the sidewalk. We immediately changed our lunch plans and were well rewarded. We had the lamb special, and even the bed of rice it was on was heavenly. The side salad is not something I usually like, but it was delicious with the yogurt dressing they provided. The potatoes tasted like a cross between roasted potatoes and salt and vinegar chips without the salt. We got a side of hummus and it was garlicky and full of flavor. My son got dessert and it was fantastic. We ran into a friend who got the Gyro, and he said the meat was medium rare, flavorful and delicious instead of a suspicious boring brown. He said it was the best Gyro he's ever had.
We were helped by Sophie who was friendly and helpful. The service was delightful despite the place being very busy.
This is the best Greek food I have ever had at a restaurant. We will be coming back the next time we are in town.
Whenever I’m in a strange city I search out it’s Greek restaurants and I am rarely happy. That said, this place is, hands down, the best Greek food I have ever had! Plus everyone who had helped us from the hostess to our server to our bartender were friendly and accommodating. The lemon potatoes are a treat!
Planning a trip to DC in July, I may make a stop over here for late lunch!
One of my favorites in Richmond! I usually get the platter with chicken, rice and beans. Their gyros are really good too! And you can't forget a spanny for your app and baklava for dessert. The food is always great and the service is fantastic. From the waitstaff to the people who work behind the counter and the line, the employees are always super friendly and accommodating. I've been coming here since they opened and it's great to watch them expand and improve!
Thanks Greek on Cary, y'all rock!!
